Overview

The Calgary Stampede is an iconic event on many peoples Wish-List, and this holiday combines  “The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth” with time to experience beautiful Banff and and stunning Lake Louise in the magnificent Canadian Rockies.

The Stampede showcases the best in rodeo with numerous events, exhibits, diverse entertainment, and an incredible atmosphere. A great time to experience the fun city of Calgary. Then you will pick up a transfer from your Calgary hotel to head into the Rockies and the charming mountain town of Banff in the heart of the national park. We've created this itinerary with three nights in Banff, but there is so much to do you may want to stay longer. From strolling the beautiful trails along the Bow River, to taking a wildlife tour, to ascending the Banff Gondola for panoramice views, you'll be spoiled for you. Please chat to our travel experts to pre-book a range of activities for you, to make the most of your time in Banff. Then you'll transfer for a stay in beautiful Lake Louise. After two nights here you can either transfer to Calagary airport for your flight home, or extend your stay with a stunning journey along the Icefield Parkway to Jasper or fly east to see the thundering waters of Niagara Falls.

Day 1

Calgary

After arriving in Calgary, transfer independently to your hotel for a three-night stay. The rest of the day is at leisure to further explore this world-class city.

You will be booked on the standard package but upgraded hotel options are available to book:

Day 2 & Day 3

Calgary Stampede

During your Stay -  Over the next two days we welcome you to the event most appropriately named “The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth”. Included is one afternoon ticket to a rodeo with gate admission, and one evening ticket to the Chuckwagon Races and Grandstand show with gate admission, as well as 2 mini gondola Skyrides over Stampede Park.

Rodeo - On the afternoon of Day 2, the best of the best saddle-up for a three hour ground shaking showcase of world- class rodeo action. There are Saddle Bronco and Bareback riding events followed by the most dangerous event of all - Bull Riding.

Rangeland Derby - On the evening of Day 3, nine heart-stopping chuckwagon races explode in an all-out dash for the finish line. Chuckwagon racing is an amazing contest of nerves and horsepower - a challenge that ignites thousands of fans.

Grandstand Show -  Following the Rangeland Derby is the outdoor stage spectacular. For 2 hours, you will be dazzled by the lavishly produced and choreographed non-stop musical variety grandstand show.

Day 4

Calgary to Banff

This morning check out of our Calgary hotel and transfer to Banff in the Canadian Rockies for three nights. Rest of the day is at leisure to explore. Enjoy your evening on Banff Avenue in one of the many charming restaurants or bars.

Day 5 - Day 6

Banff

Two full days to explore Banff National Park. We can book you onto a wildlife tour, you can cruise on beautiful Lake Minnewanka, ascent Banff Gondola or even enjoy a covered wagon ride and Cowboy Cookout!

Day 7 - Day 8

Banff to Lake Louise

Take the transfer from your hotel in Banff to Lake Louise for a two night stay. You can upgrade to the magnificent Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, to enjoy all of their facilities.

Day 9

Lake Louise - Calgary Airport

Today catch an included transfer back to Calgary Airport for your flight home.
