Newfoundland Explorer Self-Drive

10 nights from £1,949 per person Including Flights

Overview

Explore the diverse landscapes of the province of Newfoundland and Labrador on this charming self-drive itinerary. Your Newfoundland adventure starts in the welcoming Port aux Basques then you'll journey along stunning coastlines and the spectacular interior, but this suggested itinerary actually starts in Halifax Nova Scotia, as an easy place to access by air (or rail from Montreal - ask for details!). Or, if you want to see more of Nova Scotia and the other the Atlantic Provinces of New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island, then  this is the perfect addition to our Maritimes Odyssey self-drive tour.

Once you arrive on the island of Newfoundland, you'll head north from Port Aux Basques into the rugged beauty of Rocky Harbour, then up to Saint Anthony. Curving southbound you'll then reach Twillingate's lush landscapes and the coastal trails of Terra Nova National Park, before continuing onto vibrant St. John's - the capital of the province, with its colourful row houses and a lively waterfront.

You have two days in most locations, creating a relaxed pace and time for local exploration. Enjoy staying at smaller, charming properties for an authentic Newfoundland experience. Also included in this holiday is a Parks Canada Discovery Pass, providing access to several National Parks and historic sites.

Please note: As the accommodation on this tour is in smaller lodgings it may be substituted on some dates due to availability. You may choose the standard option or an upgraded version for the tour duration at a supplement of approximately £80 per person. (TM-JV)
