Farewell Harbour Lodge
Overview
This special lodge is located in Farewell Harbour on the 300 acre Berry Island, in the traditional territory of the Mamalilikulla First Nation who have a millenia-old history in the region. Berry Island is situated in the world renowned Broughton Archipelago Marine Park in the Great Bear Rainforest of British Columbia.
Your three night stay at the lodge will include a half day marine tour excursion when you arrive, a full day excursion to one of the grizzly viewing areas, followed by a full day on marine tour excursion. You can also enjoy a bear ecology tour or sea kayaking or a forest bathing walk. During the evenings there are presentations and talks to learn more about the region and its people.
You’ll enjoy great sunsets from the wrap-around deck boasting spectacular views of the harbour, and if the evenings are chilly you can relax in front of the large fireplace in the lounge/bar. The expansive decks continue as a boardwalk along the shore, leading to eight ocean-side suites with ensuite bathrooms, cozy gas fireplaces and two beds. A ramp leads off the main lodge to the floating lodge below featuring four additional suites each with a private bathroom for twelve rooms in total.
