Day 3

Vancouver to Penticton (259 miles)

Take a scenic drive to Penticton as you pass dense forests of the Manning Provincial Park and approach your destination from the south. Take a walk in the park on the remnants of the Dewdney Trail or the Rhododendron Flats; the town of Penticton can be found at the lower end of the Okanagan lake, flanked by the luscious orchards and vineyards of the Okanagan Valley.

Day 4

Penticton to Revelstoke (161 miles)

The morning is yours to spend at leisure so make the most of this gorgeous valley, with its spectacular waterfalls, jagged peaks and vast crystalline lakes. From here, journey onwards to the Revelstoke area.

Day 5

Revelstoke to Banff via Lake Louise (174 miles)

Drive through Glacier National Park and Rogers Pass on your way to the bustling resort town of Banff. We suggest a stop in Golden which is about half way en route, to walk across the spectacular Golden Skybridge. The Skybridge is Canada's highest supension bridge, suspended 426 feet above the thundering river and waterfalls with epic views of the Rocky and Purcell mountain ranges. An hour later you will reach famous Lake Louise where you must stop to admire it's turquoise waters - understandably one of the worlds most photographed lakes. Then it's just a short hop to Banff where you'll be staying for the next two nights.

Day 6

Banff National Park

Today is spent in Banff, exploring the region and the natural beauty. There are numerous tours available to discover the national park, including wildlife spotting and a boat trip on gorgeous Lake Minnewanka.

Day 7

Banff to Jasper (177 miles)

This morning sees you drive to Jasper via the spectacular Icefields Parkway – why not stop en-route at Peyto Lake and take an Ice Explorer ride on the Columbia Icefield to really make the most of your time here?

Day 8

Jasper National Park

Today offers a full day of relaxation in Jasper where you can tour this stunning area at leisure. Visits here are not complete without a stop at Maligne Lake (why not take a boat cruise?) as well as a trip to Miette Hot Springs and a ride on the Jasper Tramway.

Day 9

Jasper to Clearwater (214 miles)

Drive the scenic Yellowhead Highway to Wells Gray Park. We suggest a stop at Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Rockies, while you’re here – this natural wonder is well worth seeing in person!

Day 10

Clearwater/Wells Gray Provincial Park

Take a day out to enjoy this area to the full – there are plenty of activities to enjoy here, such as hiking, canoeing and river rafting. You can even enjoy some horseback riding!

Day 11

Clearwater to 100 Mile House (93 miles)

It’s just a short drive to the dramatic cattle ranching country of the Cariboo Region as you leave the park this morning. 100 Mile House was first built in the 19th century during the days of the Cariboo Gold Rush, providing shelter for gold seekers heading into the goldfields. Travelling along the Cariboo Wagon Road, they would have begun in Lillooet and frequently stopped here along the way. This historic building is your base for the night.

Day 12

100 Mile House to Prince George (202 miles)

En-route to Prince George, we recommend a visit to Barkerville which is a restored pioneer settlement from the Gold Rush era – a location steeped in history.

Day 13

Traverse the rugged wilderness terrain of the interior mountain ranges today. With countless cultural and historical ties to many native bands, this is a unique and interesting area to explore.

Day 14

Take the scenic route through the Skeena River Valley to the vibrant port city of Prince Rupert. En-route in Hazelton, you should make time to visit Ksan Native Village which is home to numerous tribal houses, museums and totem poles of the Gitksan First Nation. Prince Rupert can be found on Kaien Island and was home to the Tsimshian and Haida nations for over 5000 years – their heritage and legacies can be explored in the totem poles of Service Park, Roosevelt Park and the Sunken Gardens.
