Day 1
Fly to Toronto
You need a night in a hotel after an international flight before you can pick up your motorhome, so we can either book you into an airport hotel or if you’ve not visited Toronto before then we would recommend a couple of nights to explore this great city.
Day 2
Toronto – Niagara Falls (80 miles)
Today collect your motorhome from the depot and head south along the shoreline of Lake Ontario. It’s an easy two hour drive to Niagara Falls, where you can take a cruise close to the thundering waters (we can pre-book this for you). There are lots of great vantage points for you to take photos of this natural wonder, and you can also take “A journey behind the falls”. The recommended campsite for the night is the Riverside Park Campground.
Day 3
Niagara Falls – Wasaga Beach, Georgian Bay (153 miles)
Today you’re going to head north to Georgian Bay. We suggest you take a little detour into the picturesque town of Niagara-on-the-Lake for a stroll and to perhaps stock up on the delicious wine grown in this region. Continue around Lake Ontario then head due north to Wasaga Beach and the recommended campsite for the next couple of nights – Wasaga Pines which is just a short drive from the sandy shores of Georgian Bay.
Day 4
Wasaga Beach
You can spend the day lazing on Wasaga Beach or head to the Blue Mountain Resort where there are countless outdoor activities to enjoy including the Ridge Runner Mountain Coaster, cycling and golfing.
Day 5
Wasaga Beach – Tobermory (123 miles)
Drive up the Bruce Peninsula which separates Lake Huron from Georgian Bay and take time to explore beautiful Bruce Peninsula National Park, where dramatic cliffs rise from the turquoise waters of the lake and where you will find lovely hiking trails through the forest. The Fathom Five National Marine Park is widely regarded as one of the best freshwater dive spots in the world with over 20 shipwrecks but is also beautiful to be viewed from the land with some lovely walks to enjoy. Overnight at the Tobermory Village Campground.
Day 6
Tobermory – ferry to Manitoulin Island – Manitowaning (30 miles on land)
Catch the ferry for a two hour crossing to Manitoulin Island – the largest freshwater island in the world (www.ontarioferries.com for current sailing timetables and fares). Spend a couple of nights or more at the Manitoulin Resort located on the shores of Lake Manitou
Day 7
Manitoulin
Enjoy the activities around the resort such as swimming and snorkelling in the crystal clear waters of Lake Manitou, or explore the lake by motor boat or kayak. Discover the hundreds of inland lakes on the island and the miles of beautiful shoreline. You can hike the famous Cup and Saucer trail to the highest point on the island. Named after the unique rock formations, there are various grades of hike depending on your fitness and the views are well worth the effort.
Day 8
Manitoulin – Huntsville (215 miles)
It’s a meandering drive today crossing many bridges and across islands back to the mainland, skirting by lakes, travelling through Provincial Parks such as French River and Grundy Lake. Stop in Parry Sounds and take the afternoon cruise onboard the Island Queen through the Thirty Thousand Islands of Georgian Bay and spotting marine wildlife and birds. Our suggested campsite is Algonquin Pines and you’ll certainly want to spend at least a couple of nights here to enjoy the unique Algonquin Provincial Park.
Day 9
Algonquin Provincial Park
There are plenty of places to rent kayaks and bikes in and around Huntsville for you to explore some of the 1,500 lakes and 1,200 kilometres of streams in the Algonquin Provincial Park. There is also an abundance of hiking trails taking you through one of the biggest natural attractions in Canada.
Day 10
Huntsville – Ottawa (200 miles)
Today you will journey eastbound to the charming capital of Canada – Ottawa. A suggested campsite is the Wesley Clover Park as there are public transport links into the city taking only around 15 minutes.
Day 11
Ottawa
A full day to enjoy the myriad attractions of Ottawa. You can tour the Parliament Buildings, take a cruise on either the Ottawa River or Rideau Canal, visit one of the many world-class museums or the Royal Mint. Around lunch or dinner time we recommend you head to Byward Market to browse eclectic boutiques and enjoy drinks and a meal in one of the many restaurants.
Day 12
Ottawa – Mont Tremblant (102 miles)
Travel west along the Ottawa River and then up into The Laurentian mountains of Quebec. En route you could stop for a break in Montebello and visit the world’s largest log cabin – the Fairmont le Chateau Montebello! Arrive in Mont Tremblant for a couple of days of fun in the mountains. Designed by the same team who created the popular mountain resort of Whistler, you will enjoy a few days in this pedestrianised resort.

There are a wide variety of activities on offer such a biking, hiking and kayaking, or if you are fit as well as brave then take on the challenge of the Via Ferrata du Diable.
Day 14
Mont Tremblant – Montreal (90 miles)
Today you can either bring your motorhome holiday to a close and return your vehicle to the Montreal depot and fly home from there. Or extend for another couple of days and finish the circuit by travelling along the north shore of Lake Ontario back to Toronto. You can overnight in the heart of the beautiful 1000 Islands at the Ivy Lea Campsite. From here you can visit the historic town of Kingston and take a cruise of the 1000 Islands, sailing past palatial waterfront homes and quaint island cottages on the tree-clad isles.
