Day 1

Arrival in Montreal

Arrive in Montréal and make your own way to your hotel in the city centre. After checking in with your tour director, the rest of the day is yours to explore the vibrant and culturally rich streets of Montréal.

Overnight: Hotel Faubourg Montreal or Hotel Le Cantlie Suites or similar. Continental breakfast included.

Day 2

Montreal

Today, you'll see the sights of Montréal, the second-largest French-speaking city in the world. Highlights include the Olympic Complex, Old Montréal, McGill University, Mount Royal’s residential areas, and lively shopping streets. Optional visits include the Biodôme, featuring five American ecosystems, and the Botanical Gardens, home to 22,000 plant species, 10 greenhouses, and over 20 themed gardens across 75 hectares.

Day 3

Montreal to Quebec City (162 miles)

Leaving Montréal, drive along the scenic St. Lawrence River to Quebec City, the cultural heart of the province. Following the Chemin du Roy Highway, passing through charming French-Canadian villages. Upon arrival, tour the historic old city, exploring the ornate city gates, Lower Town, The Citadelle, and Battlefields Park.

Overnight: Hotel Palace Royal or Hotel Pur or similar. Continental breakfast included.

Day 4

Quebec City

Today is free for you to further explore the sights of this charming World Heritage Site at your own pace. Alternatively, you can join an optional full-day excursion to Tadoussac, including a 3-hour whale-watching tour on the St. Lawrence River at the mouth of the Saguenay River. On your return, visit the stunning Montmorency Falls, which are 30 metres higher than Niagara Falls, with a flow of approximately 35,000 litres of water per second (125,000 litres in spring).

Day 5

Quebec City to Ottawa (274 miles)

This morning, journey along the picturesque Ottawa River to the nation's capital, Ottawa. Pass the stunning Laurentians and carry on the Chemin du Roy Highway, passing through quaint Quebecois villages and historic shrines. En route, we stop at the iconic Sugar Shack for a guided visit and tasting at Chez Dany. Upon arrival in Ottawa, have a brief orientation before the sightseeing tour of the capital. The city, defined by the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Rideau Canal and the government buildings on Parliament Hill, offers a wealth of sights, including public gardens, the Byward Market, and City Hall.

Overnight: Four Points by Sheraton Gatineau or Chateau Cartier or similar. Canadian Breakfast included.

Day 6

Ottawa to Toronto (280 miles)

Today, travel to Toronto, passing through rolling farmlands and following the scenic rivers and lakes of the Rideau Waterway. Stop in Rockport, where you have the option to enjoy a relaxing cruise through the beautiful Thousand Islands. The rest of the day is free to explore this vibrant city. Discover the charm of Toronto's diverse neighbourhoods, take a trip to the top of the CN Tower, experience the lively theatre district, and indulge in the many restaurants on offer.

Day 7

Toronto

This morning, meet your fellow travellers at breakfast before exploring the many faces of Canada’s most cosmopolitan city. After visiting the provincial parliament buildings, the waterfront, the impressive CN Tower, and vibrant Chinatown, we leave the city and head towards the Niagara Peninsula. Pass through picturesque towns along the shores of Lake Ontario on your way to Niagara Falls. Time is set aside to admire the falls and take part in various activities. You can also opt for the thrilling Niagara City Cruises – Voyage to The Falls, offering an immersive and unforgettable experience.

Overnight: Courtyard Toronto Downtown or similar. Canadian breakfast included.

Day 8

End of Tour

It’s time for some final shopping and to bid farewell to Canada. Individually transfer to Toronto’s Pearson International Airport, allowing you ample time to check in for your return flight.
