Wildlife and wilderness holidays - Awe-inspiring, thrilling and memorable
Nothing compares to seeing animals in the wild. The joy you feel when you finally spot a whale's fin in Vancouver, keeping quiet as you watch polar bears laze around in Manitoba, or taking in the impressive views as you ride horseback in Alberta - the Canadian wilderness is home to some of the most unforgettable experiences.
Rugged wilderness and wildlife galore
The Canadian wilderness is one of the best places in the world to watch wildlife. Offering the perfect playground for nature lovers, we have an array of wonderful itineraries and lodges that will enable you to tick polar bears, whales, brown bears, moose and more off your wildlife bucket list.
The Canadian Rockies and British Columbia beckon you in with their promise of watching magnificent grizzly bears swipe for salmon as they tackle the streams, or spotting elusive white spirit bears wandering along the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast. Venture to Vancouver to witness the breach of a gigantic whale, or hike through the Rockies in search of moose and elk.
Meanwhile, Manitoba is one of the most adventurous provinces, challenging explorers to discover Churchill on a tundra buggy and revel in the unique pleasure of seeing polar bears up close. You may even see beautiful beluga whales along Churchill's Hudson Bay.
Head to the east and discover Atlantic Canada, especially if you're more interested in birds and marinelife. Nova Scotia offers comedy gold with its adorable puffins, as well as incredible dolphin watching in the spring and summer months. Back inland, Newfoundland and Labrador is one of our favourite places for seeing impressive wolves in the wilderness.
